Our Commitment

TX Dirt Co is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and hold ourselves to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our standard.

Accessibility Features

Our website includes the following accessibility features:

• Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable and usable with a keyboard alone
• Screen reader support — semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and landmark regions throughout
• Skip to main content link — appears on keyboard focus to bypass repeated navigation
• Descriptive alt text on all images
• Proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3) on every page
• Form fields labeled and marked as required
• Color is never the only means of conveying information
• Respect for the "Reduce Motion" operating system preference
• Accessibility toolbar (bottom-left of every page) with options for: larger text, high contrast, reduced motion, and dyslexia-friendly font
• Service detail dialogs announce their presence to screen readers and trap focus while open
• All videos are muted, decorative, and marked hidden from screen readers
• Lang attribute set to English on all pages

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following limitations and are working to resolve them:

• The before/after image comparison slider may be difficult to use with some assistive technologies. A keyboard-accessible version using arrow keys is provided.
• Some older photos in the project gallery may have limited descriptive alt text. We are improving these descriptions.
• The Google Review link currently uses a placeholder URL. This will be updated with the correct link shortly.

Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for everyone.
